Fun-Haver
Those whose purpose is to find the fun in everything they do. They live like there’s no tomorrow and always find a way to put smiles on faces, including their own.
Meet the builders who inspired the Build Beat Repeat collection! These builders have taken their builds to the limit - and live their life with a wide open throttle!
"Build, Beat, Repeat embodies the love for the sport—push your rig as hard as you can until it breaks, build it back better, and do it all over again!"
Kelsie Heck grew up in Port Angeles, Washingon and currently lives in Puyallup, Washington. She has been building off-road trucks since the age of 19. Fast forward 9 years later, she spends her weekends testing her trucks on any terrain - whether it's mud, dunes or rocks! Kelsie enjoys working alongside the love of her life and the challenges that come with the build process! "I love learning something new every time I step into the shop," Kelsie told the Fun-Haver team.
Her latest build is a 1996 Toyota Tacoma single cab. The build features Claassenbuilt custom 4-link front and rear with Radflo coilovers and bypasses, 6.0 LQ4 with a cam (248 WHP), TH400, Atlas 4-speed, and fabricated 9” Trail Gear axles. Kelsie's Tacoma is a testament to her belief in the mantra "Build, Beat, Repeat!"
"To me - Build, Beat, Repeat is the perfect definition of the last 18 years of my life."
Nick Isenhouer is a born and bred Cali boy, raised in San Diego and currently residing in El Cajon, California. He's been working in the garage with his family as long as he can remember. They built their first race truck at 14 years old in a meager 2-car garage. Once the truck was completed in 2007 the Isenhouer brothers competed in their first desert race. Since then Nick has been tackling the desert with a wide open throttle.
His latest build is a 1995 Ford F150 Lightning. This truck has been converted to 4x4 by utilizing a Ford Bronco transmission and transfer case, 1-ton Super Duty axles, Desolate Motorsports front suspension conversion, Fox 3.0 IBP coilovers; the build even features KCHiLiTES, Rugged Radios, Method Race Wheel 17” beadlocks, 40” Yokohama Geolandar M/T, custom PRP seats, RuffStuff rear axle truss and differential covers. His favorite part about the “Miller Lightning” is that the truck is still street legal after all those upgrades and is always ready for his "Build, Beat, Repeat" attitude towards life!
"Build, Beat Repeat means exactly what it says.. build it, beat it up, and then repeat the process over and over again. It's become a way of life."
A fellow Cali boy like his brother Nick, Chris Isenhouer was raised in San Diego and currently resides in El Cajon, California. For him, building anything and everything was an Isenhouer family tradition. From hot rods to prerunners, nothing has ever been off-limits for the Isenhouers.
Chris' latest creation is a 1969 Ford F100, with some mean power coming from the Moruzzi built 6.0 LS with a Culhane 4L80 transmission and NP205 transfer-case. The F100 tackles the desert with Super Duty axles, 3.0 Fox coilovers and 40” Yokohama Geolandar MTs. His favorite part of the build process is completing the build and looking at what he's been able to create from a pile of tubes and an old truck!
